The Styrian Declaration on Adult Education - a clear commitment to adult education

Education works! Education plays an essential role in overcoming current and future social challenges. In order to be able to manage and shape the process of growth and change well, continuous further education and training in the most diverse areas of life is of fundamental importance for people. The longest phase of lifelong learning - adult education - naturally plays a key role.

Styrian declaration creates perspectives

The Styrian Declaration on Adult Education is an important milestone for the future organisation of adult education in Styria. It is an important step for the whole of Austrian adult education beyond the borders of the province. We would like to thank all those involved for their foresight!

The aim is to promote exchange, co-operation and innovation in adult education combined with concrete steps towards implementation. The declaration is both a clear commitment and a demand for strong, high-quality adult education that empowers and encourages people to take advantage of opportunities - whether personal, professional or social.
