Education management

The business field "education management" is one of 3 business fields of the Kooperativen Systems der Erwachsenenbildung Austria. In early 2014, ARGE BHÖ took over the business field and organises/develops events on "education management" (=Bildungsmanagement) at the Federal Institute for Adult Education (bifeb).

In particular, the following educational activities are carried out

• BIMA - compact
• BIMA - expert
• BIMA - Refreshing
• #ebcamp

The 7-part ‘Education Management - compact’ course helps you to professionally combine the fields of education and management. You will gain an insight into the field of Austrian adult education, develop target group-orientated educational programmes and learn methods and tools for efficient educational work. 

The ‘Education management - expert’ course is aimed at employees who have several years of practical experience in adult education and are responsible for the medium and long-term orientation and development of their educational institution. The focus is on recognising larger contexts - even beyond one's own organisation - and deriving well-founded decisions and implementing them responsibly.

In terms of methodology/didactics, the courses have a high proportion of exchange of experience and place value on self-organisation and personal responsibility with regard to one's own learning processes.

For holders of BIMA certificates from SystemCert. These certificates must be regularly recertified by attending a 3-day seminar. For this purpose, we offer a so-called ‘BIMA refresher seminar’. If necessary, a seminar from the BIMA training courses is also available for this purpose.

The #ebcamp is a barcamp for adult education in Austria that takes place annually as a hybrid event at the Federal Institute for Adult Education (bifeb) in St. Wolfgang. For two days, we deal with questions that move adult education in theory and practice around the topic of digitalisation. The barcamp opens up a space for (critical) discussion of the facets and characteristics of digitalisation in adult education. It is an exciting opportunity to exchange ideas in this broad field, have in-depth discussions, learn about useful and meaningful examples from practice, network and ultimately expand your own field of action and knowledge.
