FUTURE SKILLS
Changing competences in the Bildungshaus of the future
Project duration: March 2024 - February 2025
The main objective of the project is to analyse future requirements and challenges for personnel development, leadership and organisational culture in the educational institution of the future and to develop possible solutions for dealing with them. The main focus here is on the skills required in the future (‘future skills’).
The results of the project will be published in a publication. It is intended to serve as an orientation aid for innovative and creative solutions in the organisational and personnel development of educational establishments.

Why?
It is becoming increasingly difficult to develop staff in line with new requirements, find suitable personnel, retain staff and inspire them to join your company. The current situation, characterised by a shortage of labour and skilled workers, upheavals in the world of work and in social values, digitalisation/artificial intelligence, etc., is challenging and difficult to assess for many companies.
This project is intended to provide support in making sound and sustainable strategic decisions for your own educational institution through research into personnel and organisational development.

How can we find and/or retain employees who are prepared for future challenges, who want to contribute, and who are willing to help shape our educational institutions? What competences set them apart, and how can we support them in developing these skills? What competences, values, and attitudes will employees need in the Bildungshäuser and Folk High Schools of the future? How can we make educational institutions attractive to new, potential employees?
To explore these and many more questions, ARGE Bildungshäuser Österreich (ARGE BHÖ), the Verband der Bildungszentren im ländlichen Raum (VBLR), and the SPES Zukunftsakademie have joined forces in an Erasmus+ project.
The results are summarized in the brochure “Future Skills – Changing Competences in the Bildungshaus of the Future.”
