Info

70 years ago, the diocese of Linz took a bold step. It bought a castle to provide young women and men with education and self-empowerment. Over the past seven decades, Bildungshaus Schloss Puchberg has become an important adult education centre at state and national level. Up to 60,000 participants experience uplifting, spiritually deepening and culturally inspiring impulses at up to 800 events per year.

As a cooperation partner for many social actors, from interreligious dialogue to the network against right-wing extremism, we set signals for a future-proof, sustainable and lively educational culture. We are an open-minded platform for thinkers and visionaries of an encouraging future. The focus of our content gives the centre a clear profile throughout Austria as a driving force in general and church-based adult education.

Learning and education
As an educational centre of the Diocese of Linz, Puchberg has its own unique character with Christian values. Unobtrusive, accommodating offers of faith, the enquiry, search and experience of the divine, pastoral care and liturgical celebrations meet the changing religious and spiritual needs of people today. What enriches and strengthens life can be found in this educational centre. In this place of joie de vivre, people discover their talents and potential and find support, even in painful and difficult phases.

A broad and sophisticated educational programme
in the areas of spirituality/theology/philosophy, society/environment/communication, partnership/family/children, psychology/health/education and art/creativity awaits visitors to the Bildungshaus.

Hire and meetings
Bildungshaus Schloss Puchberg has 18 perfectly equipped, tasteful seminar rooms of various sizes (10 to 400 people), a modern technical and administrative infrastructure and the best service and kitchen facilities. We cook mainly with regional and seasonal products and focus on sustainability in all economic and working areas.

With the exception of the Spiegelsaal and the Rote Bar, the entire building is barrier-free.

Schloss Puchberg is a place with a unique atmosphere that invites you to take a deep breath.

Away from the hustle and bustle, you can focus on the essentials, recharge your batteries and enjoy yourself.

Free from everyday work, seminar participants can focus on their educational needs. Many leave the Bildungshaus with new knowledge, deeper insights and new creative design skills. They have also experienced community, met interesting people and enjoyed inspiring encounters.

Topics that address people's current interests and life issues:
Spirituality, theology and philosophy, society, environment and communication, partnership, family and children, psychology, health and education, art and creativity
