SPES is an education and consulting centre with a future academy and a professional seminar hotel. The SPES Hotel impresses with its modern, barrier-free building. Generous glass surfaces provide a view of the marvellous landscape of the upper Krems Valley.

Environmental protection and sustainability are particularly important to us.

We are a passive house and serve mainly regional and organic specialities. In addition to the seminar rooms and modern rooms, there is a relaxation area with sauna. The SPES dark enjoyment room is completely dark - not the slightest ray of light penetrates. The sense of sight therefore has a ‘break’, but all the other senses are all the more challenged. On selected weekends, you have the opportunity to experience this special sensory journey with us. Groups of ten people or more can also book their own dates: for dinner, brunch, a tasting or a sensory enjoyment workshop.

The SPES Future Academy was founded in 1987. We work on current areas of tension in our society and develop forward-looking projects with the aim of safeguarding the quality of life for future generations.

The participation of local people is already part of the founding idea of SPES.

Even today, almost 40 years later, we still stand for our core expertise and support participation processes on various topics.
 

SPES stands for Studiengesellschaft für Projekte zur Erneuerung der Strukturen. The SPES Future Academy consists of a multidisciplinary team that offers process support, education and counselling. The focus is always on stimulating people in their self-efficacy, empowering, enabling and encouraging them!

We are convinced: The future can be shaped! 

The team spends most of its time travelling to municipalities throughout Upper Austria and beyond to support projects with citizen participation on a wide range of topics. From ‘Family & Generations’ to ‘Climate & Mobility’ to ‘Local Supply & Centre Revitalisation’, everything is covered.

SPES also regularly participates in EU projects internationally in order to disseminate the developed, multipliable models. The SPES Hotel serves as an anchor from which the team operates and where citizens and international guests alike are invited to continue thinking about the challenges of the future.
